Recently I have seen that I gained weight. My beloved pair of jeans were extremely tight, instead of loose. My cheecks rounded. My belly was not that flat as previously. I knew I have to do something with it. I didn’t want this to get worst. However, I already was aware that I would not be able to resign from good food. I love food and I really believe that my life without good meals would be sad. I can’t be on diet. I simply can’t. Consequently, I was aware that instead of diet, I have to focus on something else – doing sport.
However, it was not such an easy decision. I didn’t really know what kind of sport would be best for me. I was playing volleyball and basketball when I was younger, but I didn’t love it. Tons of of my friends like running. I need to admit that I am pretty jealous when I was watching them finishing marathons. Nonetheless, it looks a little too hard for me. I love watching people who run, but when I try to do it myself, this is not so funny anymore. I did that this week and I just felt that I will not love running. My best friend was trying to convince me for swimming. I can swim. I was doing it a lot when I was child. However, I think that I might be a little too old for this already. I surely, don’t mean swimming. However, all of these things that are connected with it – you gotta dry your hair after training, you gotta take your time to arrive and come back from the swimming pool as they are not located in every district. I know this might sound like exaggerating, but I simply felt I have to keep on looking for some other sport.
After that, when I was still searching for something inspiring, I saw an ordinary man on custom fixie bike. I really liked this! It was so cool and trendy. I decided to give this a try. At the beginning I rent a bike for a weekend, simply to make sure that would be a sport I would like to do regularly. When it turned out that I love this sport, I decided to purchase my ladies city bike. I became so passionate about cycling, that I not just lost weight, by also managed to convince my my partner to buy 1 of those trendy mens city bike too. Presently, often we do many around our town on our bikes. We are entirely healthy couple!
